LOCATION - FLEXIBLE Reporting to the Managing Director of Asset Management At Tetra Tech, you will work with high-performing teams who are passionate about using their expertise to find solutions to complex problems in water, environment, infrastructure, resource management, asset management, energy, and international development. As a senior member of the Asset Management team, you willbe responsible for leading the development and delivery of our PFI hand back and re-procurement product line. You will be responsible for building a long term pipeline and convert into sales to meet the commitments of our annual forecast. The successful candidate will have significant experience in commercial negotiations of PFI schemes and the ability to project manage a PFI exit plan on behalf of a service provider or authority. Ideally, you will have experience across a range of sectors including defence, commercial, healthcare, education and leisure within both public and private domains. The right candidate will have a technical appreciation and the ability to coordinate multidisciplinary teams of surveyors and cost managers to advise clients on lifecycle and asset optimisation to add value to the run-down period to the end of the concession. You will be a credible individual within the property sector and can demonstrate a strong network of clients who have responsibility for PFI service delivery and PFI asset owners. About the role: Accountability of annual forecast for revenue associated with PFI services Identify a pipeline and convert it into sales to meet the annual forecast Attend local business development meetings to help identify opportunities and progress discussions with prospective clients Assist with contractual understanding of large complex PFI & PPP schemes Assist with commercial negotiations & settlements Provide input to advice specific to PFI schemes & dispute resolution management Support clients in arranging suitable refinance post-initial concession period Hand back project management Risk assessment and mitigation advice Consideration of Lifecycle & PPM optimisation Deliverables and payment mechanism assessment Work with technical teams to provide advice on decarbonisation and repurposing of existing facilities Organise and attend customer meetings and presentations to secure PFI related workstream Requirements: Able to manage, influence and motivate team members Build and maintain excellent client relationships Work effectively whilst under pressure Plan ahead and prioritise workload Attend tender interviews, client meetings and project meetings, representing TetraTech as and when required Assist operational colleagues with project technical support Where required, review statutory compliance documentation pertaining to Building Regulations, H&S and Fire Safety Identify issues which may affect other projects in the broader portfolio and share information using available resources and generate portfolio wide analysis for reporting to asset management team and clients Undergo a full DBS (CRB), SC check if required The ability to win work and develop further business opportunities through relationship building will also be a key requirement of the role. Technical / Commercial: Working closely with the project management team and other Heads of Practice you will be required to prepare tenders and quotations Develop solutions based on relevant best practice Contribute to the delivery of innovative solutions for clients Ensure that costs are managed and controlled to ensure the achievement of project profitability Ensure that all project activities are managed in line with group policy and procedures (Policy100) Pro-actively identify opportunities for continuous improvement and efficient ways of working within projects and more widely across the business ensuring that this is shared with colleagues Pro-actively identify business development opportunities with existing and new clients and escalate for action and participate in bid submissions About you: Experience providing consultancy services on PFI projects Experience in a senior commercial management position The skill set and passion for both engineering and leadership with the ability to manage and deliver multidisciplinary projects across a range of sectors Proven experience of PFI & PPP contract negotiations and dispute resolution Detailed understanding of finance options for refinancing schemes at the end of initial concession Hold or able to obtain, as a minimum, security clearance to MOD SC level and ideally be at or able to attain clearance to DV level Experience of working within the built environment Experience of interpreting information and undertaking analysis of information from differing sources to formulate a conclusion Robust project and programme management capability Ability to work away from the home office when required BS Degree in a relevant discipline or equivalent Chartered and member of relevant body (working towards this will be considered) A detailed understanding of the asset lifecycle process Ability to teach and mentor junior colleagues to aid their development and improve the quality of output We are flexible with regards tothe location of where this role can be based.
